Andrew Eldridge, Assistant Director, Percussion Coordinator, is the newest member of the Rockwall Heath band staff. He comes to Rockwall Heath from Naaman Forest High School in the Garland ISD. Mr. Eldridge has also held staff positions at Birdville High School (North Richland Hills, Texas), Kaufman High School (Kaufman, Texas), and was drumline instructor for the University of Illiniois in Urbana-Champaign. His teachers include Paul Rennick, William Moersch, Brian West, and Brian Zator.
Active throughout the year as a recitalist, arranger, and clinician, Mr. Eldridge performs many recitals each year. He premiered a marimba concerto by Dwane Rice at the 2006 Percussive Arts Society's International Convention and was a finalist in the multi-percussion competition at PASIC in 2002. As an arranger, Mr. Eldridge has written drumline parts for the 2004 Fed-Ex Orange Bowl and the 2006 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
Mr. Eldrige received his Master of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign and his Bachelors of Music from Texas A&M University - Commerce.
