Lauren Guyer

Lauren Guyer has been performing solo work and teaching color guard techniques for more than nine years.  She has explored her movement possibilities through improvisation, ballet, and modern techniques.  Lauren has studied the movement techniques of Cunningham, Horton, Limon, Duncan, and Balanchine.  She has been given the opportunity to study under professionals such as Mary Williford-Shade, Jordan Fuchs, Sarah Gamblin, Pamela Heard, and Michael Lopinto.  As a solo and ensemble champion, Lauren has directed and produced color guard shows throughout the Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth area.  She has received numerous honors such as advancement in UIL Regional Championships and Texas Color Guard Association.  Lauren is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and former member of the pre-professional dance ensemble, DanceWorks.  She has recently received  a Bachelor of Art in Dance from Texas Woman’s University. 

Lauren lives with her Great Dane, Apple, in downtown Dallas where she enjoys dancing, riding her bike, reading, and cooking.
