About Concert BAnd
August - May
The Concert Band allows the student the opportunity for continued development at an intermediate level. Performances will be given throughout the year at school and UIL events. Members are encouraged to prepare the All-Region audition and to participate in the Solo & Ensemble Contest.
- Prerequisite: Audition/Approval by Directors
- Auditions: Held in May
- Rehearsals: During class
- Performances and competitions: Begin in November and continue through May.
- Cost: Students can expect to pay a fee for participation to cover certain expenses.
- Attendance: All out-of-school rehearsals and performances are required.
The Concert Band will perform with the members of the other bands at pep rallies, football games, parades, and marching competitions.
